Genoa and Como have ‘come forward to ask for information’ about Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say it seems clear that the youngster will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window.
They report that a recent strong showing with Italy’s U21s has seen interest in the 21-year-old Chelsea midfielder pick up.
Monza were the first team to set their sights on him, but Genoa and Como have made moves in the ‘last few hours’ to come forward and ask for information.
TMW, say it seems clear that the midfielder will leave Chelsea in January so he can get more playing time, but it’s unclear if the Blues intend to let him go permanently or not.
The do have an offer on the table from Feyenoord on that front, with the Dutch side ready to shell out more than €20m to get ahead of the competition. Casadei is also liked by Villarreal, Real Betis, Sevilla, Monaco and PSV Eindhoven.
Juventus have also been linked with a move and did hold talks with Chelsea but that was in the summer and the idea is not a ‘hot’ one at this moment in time as they’re focused on improving their defence.
The list of suitors is long either way and all roads currently point to Casadei leaving Chelsea in January, the question is whether it’s on loan or permanently.
