It’s been a few weeks since the Brazilian media started claiming that Manchester United are interested in the signing of Ajax winger Antony.
With Erik ten Hag arriving at Old Trafford, the 22-year-old is said to be one of the players who could follow him.
Following the rumours, there’s a big expectation from São Paulo fans regarding the move, as since they’re his former club, they could now benefit from the transfer by getting a percentage of this fee.
So as Radio Bandeirantes commented on this story this week, it turns out that a transfer to Manchester United wasn’t really seen with good eyes at the Donos da Bola show.
“If Antony is listening, look for some place else. Manchester United unfortunately became a graveyard for players,” said Soler.
Earlier this week, we’ve already seen reports from Brazil claiming Antony ‘should’ be negotiated with Manchester United, as Ajax are already working on replacements for him.
