Reports from France detail the race for AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer which is being formed for the summer window.
Outlet Competition heard from their sources that Paris Saint Germain are currently leading the battle for the 23-year-old.
The Ligue 1 side, however, have competition from the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid, who’ve been ‘following the footsteps’ of the Algeria international.
PSG had been interested in Bennacer in the past, and would come stronger in the next transfer window. To get a discount for the player, they’d include midfielder Leandro Paredes and offer an extra amount of money.
There aren’t many details on the interest from Manchester City, as Competition have a big emphasis on PSG’s chase for the player.
Signed by Milan in a €16m deal from Empoli back in 2019, Bennacer has seen his market value having a big growth for the past year, and is now rated by Transfermarkt at €40m.
With Fernandinho likely to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, it’d be no surprise to see Pep Guardiola going after a new defensive midfielder.
