West Ham United have included Middlesbrough’s Emmanuel Latte Lath in their list for the winter market.
That’s according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who states a West Ham scout was in attendance to follow the striker against Oxford United at the weekend.
The Italian starred for Middlesbrough, scoring a hat-trick and registering an assist in their 6-2 crushing win over Oxford United.
Emmanuel Latte Lath has reportedly impressed West Ham officials, who followed him live in action at the Kassam Stadium. Di Marzio claims the Premier League side have identified the 24-year-old as one of the targets to improve their attack in January.
He came through the ranks of Atalanta’s youth system but failed to cement a place in their senior team. After going out on loan repeatedly, the frontman left the Serie A side permanently for Middlesbrough in August 2023.
Emmanuel Latte Lath managed 18 goals and an assist for Michael Carrick’s side last season and has seven goals and two assists from 16 league games this season.
His agent, Matthias Veneroso, was open to taking him to a top league in the summer, but no deal took shape.
The journalist states Emmanuel Latte Lath is having ‘unstoppable growth’ and ‘seems ‘ready to take flight towards more important stages’, insisting he’s ready for a move to a big league like the Premier League.
For now, West Ham are monitoring the Middlesbrough star, and they may have a decision to make in January.
