Still only 19 years of age, Dominik Szoboszlai feels like he’s been around forever.
That’s because he’s a fan favourite of those who spend hours playing Football Manager or even FIFA, as the Hungary international is widely seen as one of the best up and coming midfielders in Europe.
Never missing a beat when it comes to young talent, Arsenal are hovering, but they do face some competition.
According to French journalist Manu Lonjon, Paris Saint-Germain have asked for information regarding the RB Salzburg talent, with the player’s entourage contacted and ‘not left indifferent’ by the approach.
Pressed further by a fan on social media, he was then asked if Arsenal were on the case, to which Lonjon replied both Milan and the Gunners were ‘well advanced’.
What that means remains to be seen, but it does suggest Mikel Arteta and his scouts are doing their due diligence when it comes to keeping tabs on prospects around Europe.
It’s the Arsenal way, and Arsène Wenger would be proud.
