Even though Everton Cebolinha’s situation remains the same, there’s still some confidence that Grêmio will soon receive some bids for the player.
Brazilian website UOL has one more update on the winger, once again claiming that Arsenal are one of the clubs who could be landing him this summer.
UOL says that Grêmio are still to receive an official offer, but there’s been an ‘avalanche of approaches’ from several European sides.
These contacts lead the club to believe that a bid will come in the next few days. What makes the negotiations difficult is that Grêmio are demanding €40m for their 50% share of the player.
Besides saying Arsenal are one of the pretenders, UOL adds that his staff’s preference is for a move to the Premier League. It’s also claimed that Edu Gaspar’s arrival at the Gunners makes the deal more likely.
Regarding those claims from the start of the week saying the London side have sent a doctor so Everton could have his medical, we haven’t seen any updates on that.
