Trabzonspor loanee Caleb Ekuban has told the Turkish media he will consider his future at the end of the season.

The 24-year old has impressed for the majority of the season since joining the Super Lig club on loan from Leeds United last summer.

Ekuban has now established himself as a starter under Unal Karaman after spending the first half of the campaign coming off the bench to score some important goals.

After another decent display against Erzurumspor at the weekend the Leeds United man has discussed his future with the Turkish press, as covered by Fotospor: “I’m not interested in my future at the moment. I am only focusing on playing as many games as possible until the end of the season. After that, I will think about what to do next.”

Trabzonspor have the option to sign him permanently from Leeds United for €1m and recent reports suggest they will activate their right of redemption for the forward.

There’s been no indication whether Ekuban can block that himself or not, but his words may suggest there could be other options for the player.

Ekuban has played 28 games for the Turkish club this season, scoring 7 goals. He’s contracted to the Championship side until June 2021.
