Porto striker Moussa Marega is back to being linked to a West Ham United move this weekend.

This is a rumour which had been relatively quiet for the past few weeks, and newspaper A Bola used the first chance they had to wake it up once again.

The outlet writes that since the Hammers missed out on signing Maxi Gomez, they are now are going for a plan b, and chasing a striker from a list they have.

This list reportedly includes Moussa Marega, Gonzalo Higuain, Sebastien Haller and Duvan Zapata. And with the transfer window closing in less than a month, the process ‘should have a solution soon’.

There’s nothing about contacts or bids for now, and that’s why we say A Bola is using the first opportunity they have to talk about this rumour again. All they do is recall that West Ham already tried to sign the player last summer.

Marega is currently on vacation after playing the Africa Cup of Nations. A Bola says manager Sérgio Conceição wants to keep him for the season, but the player’s wish to move to the Premier League may speak louder.
