Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Emmanuel Agbadou has responded positively to early transfer interest from Beşiktaş.
That’s according to Sabah. They report that the 28-year-old is the ‘first choice’ in Beşiktaş plans for the January transfer window.
The Turkish side have made early moves for the Wolves defender, and he has ‘responded positively’ to the interest of the Black and Whites.
Sabah explain that Beşiktaş are looking to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window. Improving in central defence is considered as one of their key areas.
Coordinator Serkan Reçber recently travelled to England to make contact with potential candidates. Agbadou has since been placed at the top of their list.
Negotiations are underway for him, perhaps bolstered by the fact the Wolves defender has showed a positive attitude towards the move. That’s despite currently being a regular under Rob Edwards and only joining Wolves in January 2025 in a €20m deal from Reims.
Beşiktaş are, perhaps, taking advantage of the situation at Wolves at this moment in time. and journalist Fırat Günayer believes Agbadou shouldn’t be the only name on their list.
“If I were in charge, and Wolves were falling apart, I’d sign striker Tolu Arokodare,” Sports Digitale report him saying.
“He was playing incredibly well at Genk. He probably couldn’t make it there. Since he couldn’t, I’d sign him.”
