West Ham United’s search for a new striker has seen them get linked with several players in the past few weeks.
Montpellier’s Gaëtan Laborde is one among them and the Hammers have already taken steps to sign the 26-year-old.
On January 19th, Montpellier president Laurent Nicollin confirmed David Moyes’ side have called the forward’s agent to register an interest in the player. However, his side didn’t receive any proposal from the London club.
The Ligue 1 side will be without the services of Andy Delort for a few weeks after he picked up a hamstring injury. Earlier claims suggested Montpellier will look to block Laborde’s exit in the winter market.
However, that hasn’t stopped the Premier League club as the continue to push for his signing, according to Le10 Sport.
It’s explained the attacker’s file is ‘still active’ at West Ham, but ‘all parties have set an ultimatum until Friday’ for the player to change clubs.
In other words, if West Ham don’t submit an offer before tomorrow, ‘Laborde will not move’.
