Swansea striker Ronald has interest from Corinthians, Vasco and Santos this summer and all three have already started negotiations.

That’s according to journalist Jorge Nicola, who reports that the Swansea man has a trio of options on the table to return to his homeland this summer and also interest from Mexico.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move back to Brazil in the last few weeks, with Corinthians believed to be interested in him.

He joined Swansea in January 2024 in a €1.5m deal from Anápolis, having previously played for Atlético-GO U20 and Anápolis in Brazil before a loan deal at Estrela in Portugal from July 2022 to January 2024.

He’s yet to really hit the ground running in Wales, managing six goals and seven assists in 67 games for the club. That tally is similar to the one he had at Estrela, where he managed six goals and four assists in 55 games in total.

The Swans are open to doing a deal according to Nicola’s information, and they have plenty of suitors lining up to take the winger off of their hands too.

“Corinthians is not alone in the fight for a 24-year-old Brazilian striker named Ronald who belongs to Swansea,” he said.

“Before recording this video, I spoke to someone who works with Ronald and this person assured me that there are also contacts from Vasco and Santos, that is, the trio has already started negotiations. Everyone was warned by Swansea that only upon payment of €2m.

“Without this money, there is no chance of an agreement. Corinthians wanted a loan with an option to buy or pay the €2m or they are out of the game. I would also like to draw attention to the dispute or the presence in this dispute of América from Mexico. The team that was runner-up in the Mexican championship under André Jardine has contacted me and intends to take Ronald there.

“Ronald, who can play on the right and left flanks, is Corinthians’ number 1 priority in the search for reinforcements.”
