Tymoteusz Puchacz arrived at Plymouth Argyle in the January transfer window and made a quick impact at the south coast club. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to continue that to an extent that it could keep Plymouth in the Championship and they were duly relegated.

The defender had joined from Holstein Kiel, having only signed for the German club the previous August, but obviously failed to make enough of an impact with them. Indeed, he’s only played 395 league minutes for them in total and they’ve already decided they want rid.

Holstein Kiel don’t want to give Puchacz any further chances after his return from Plymouth Argyle, and he’s been told publicly and privately to find himself a new club.

German newspaper Kieler Nachrichten quote Marcel Rapp, the 2.Bundesliga club’s manager, as saying: “Thomas Dähne, Fiete Arp, and Tymoteusz Puchacz have been released for contract negotiations with other clubs. They will all no longer participate in Holstein Kiel’s training for the time being. They were informed in confidential discussions that they would have a hard time getting regular playing time with us next season.”

Those confidential discussions have obviously quickly been made public by Rapp, and the players need to find new homes.

Fiete Arp, who was once an extremely highly rated youngster who joined Bayern Munich too early, is off to Denmark to sign for Odense. Thomas Dähne is of interest to 1860 Munich, but there’s no clear club for the former Plymouth Argyle loanee.

Schalke have been linked, although that was purely due to the Miron Muslić connection.
