West Ham United have seen a €14m bid for Inter Milan youngster Valentin Carboni rejected by the Italian side, but an increased summer offer may be considered.
That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, who cover the player’s future today and whether he may end up at West Ham in future.
They explain the youngster, who is currently on loan at Monza, was the subject of a €14m bid from West Ham this week.
However, that was rejected out of hand by Inter Milan, who are ‘not taking into consideration’ any exit at this moment in time.
That’s because he is getting game time and Monza and indeed finding himself in the team more and more and the belief is that his value could continue to increase in the coming months ahead of the summer.
At that point Inter’s stance on a transfer away may change. While the youngster may be a player for the future, if an offer of €30m arrives between June and August, the Nerazzurri could be tempted to sell and reinvest the money.
Whether West Ham would ever be willing to pay such a sum for an 18-year-old with limited experience in Italy isn’t mentioned but he’s certainly a name to keep an eye on following their rejected bid.
