West Ham United and Brentford have US Sassuolo’s Andrea Pinamonti on their agenda for this summer. That’s according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, and he has a short report on the Premier League duo’s interest.
Di Marzio claims both West Ham and Brentford have made contact to ask about the 26-year-old. He hasn’t clarified if Graham Potter’s side or the Bees contacted the Italian club, the striker’s camp or both.
The Italy international was on loan at Genoa last season, where he scored 11 goals and an assist from 37 games. Pinamonti has already said goodbye to Patrick Vieira’s side and returned to his parent club.
His contract at Sassuolo, who have secured promotion to the top flight, expires in 2027. According to Calciomercato, the frontman’s future with the Serie A newcomers continues to be uncertain.
Pinamonti’s salary is high for Sassuolo and it’s pushing them to evaluate the possibility of parting ways with him.
Calciomercato make no mention of Sassuolo’s request for the player, who is currently valued at €15m by Transfermarkt.
Niclas Füllkrug is the only recognised striker at West Ham, while Brentford have Yoane Wissa and Igor Thiago. The Hammers, at least, could be looking to sign a centre forward this summer.
