Liverpool youngster Ifeanyi Ndukwe’s agent has confirmed that they are in dialogue with several clubs about a move this summer.

Tipsbladet cover comments from the 18-year-old’s agent today. He has confirmed that talks are underway regarding a move from Anfield.

Liverpool loan exit

The Danish outlet reports on claims from England on Tuesday that Danish, Portuguese, Belgian, French and Spanish clubs are all chasing the defender this summer.

Those reports led Tipsbladet to reach out to Ifeanyi Ndukwe’s agent, Georg Lederer from More Than Sport. He confirmed that there are offers from Danish clubs on the table as well.

“I can’t say which clubs we are in dialogue with, but I can confirm that we are in dialogue with Danish clubs about Ifeanyi Ndukwe. The only thing I can say is that it is not about the top clubs in Denmark,” he said.

“We are also talking to several foreign clubs, but right now we have to decide in collaboration with Liverpool where Ifeanyi will fit best.

“We are looking at several different parameters. First and foremost, it is about Ifeanyi getting a lot of playing time, and then Liverpool is also looking at what type of football clubs play, as they want him to play in a high-pressing defense, so it is a bit like what you see in Liverpool.”

Work permit issues

According to the youngster’s agent, the focus is on a loan deal. That won’t include an option to make it permanent.

“Since Ifeanyi has just joined Liverpool, it is of course a loan deal without an option to buy. But for now I can’t say much more,” he added.

Randers FC are one of the Danish sides in the mix. However, a deal with them did not progress as they could not guarantee him ‘a lot of playing time’.

The Reds are chasing a loan deal as the youngster – recently signed from Austria Wien – does not have a work permit to play in England.

He is only permitted to play in friendlies. Liverpool, therefore, plan to loan him out to ensure his development is not stalled.

Now his agent has confirmed talks with various parties are underway.
