Sandi Lovric has been an important part of Udinese’s first-team over the past three seasons and Watford appear to have taken notice of the midfielder.

The UK press have covered Hornets interest in the Slovenia international, and Calciomercato have more information.

The outlet report talks between Udinese and Watford are ongoing over a permanent transfer for the 27-year-old. As things stand, the Italian club value Lovric at €9m and this is not expected to be a problem for the Championship side.

Watford are aiming to sign the midfielder as soon as possible and this can benefit Udinese, who will earn a significant capital profit as they look to do business themselves.

Lovric joined the Friulians on a free transfer in summer 2022 after an exit from Swiss club Lugano.

Since his arrival, the Slovenian has played 108 times for Udinese, scoring nine goals and adding 13 assists. He’s mainly played in central midfield but has also shown enough versatility to play in attacking midfield and in deeper areas.
