Tottenham Hotspur allowed Eric Dier to join Bayern Munich on a loan in January.

Last week, Bild said doubts about the 30-year-old are already increasing and that Bayern have a conditional obligation of €3m, if he makes a certain number of appearances.

There may have been a turnaround as Sky Deutschland provide a different stance on the Tottenham owned player.

The centre-back has made six appearances so far and the report says he’s impressed for the Bavarian club.

Sky say there was scepticism when he arrived at the club and it wasn’t foreseeable that the doubts would ‘no longer exist’ at the end of February.

Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel, who will leave after this season, has been the Tottenham loanee’s great admirer.

Dier is grateful to Tuchel for getting him ‘out of an awkward situation’ at Tottenham. He was restricted to 198 minutes from four games under Ange Postecoglou in the first half of the season.

Sky explain that the England international’s time with the Bundesliga winners has only been overshadowed by the coach’s impending exit.

“It’s disappointing. He brought me here. We have a good relationship. Still, it’s a shame because he’s a very good coach,” he told Sky.

Bild had earlier stated that doubts about Dier are increasing but Sky now claim otherwise and insist doubts ‘no longer exist’. This may improve his chances of staying at the club and also representing England at the Euros.
