Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella has shared his strong belief that Liverpool arrivals Florian Wirtz and Jeremy Frimpong will be great successes in English football.

Tella was speaking to Rheinische Post Langenfeld, and made it clear he has a lot of confidence in the future success of his former teammates at the Bundesliga club.

For the last question of the interview, Tella was asked what he thinks the new Liverpool pair are capable in the Premier League, given many believe it to be at a higher level than the Bundesliga.

In response, Tella said: “They’re now playing in one of the best teams in the world. I don’t need to talk much about their abilities. Everyone has seen how good they are. Now it’s time for England to get to know them even better. I’m confident they can get even better, even if that seems almost impossible. We’ll see great games from them.”

Liverpool fans already have great hopes for the pair, especially Wirtz after his huge money arrival from Bayer Leverkusen. The 22-year-old scored 16 goals and added 15 assists for the German club last season and a similar return will be expected in the current campaign for the Reds.

Player as a right wing-back, essentially as a right-winger much of the time, 24-year-old Frimpong got five goals and 12 assists.

That’s a lot of potential attacking contribution for Liverpool and why they’ve paid so much to land the pair.
