Sheffield United midfielder Gustavo Hamer has been linked with a move to Trabzonspor over the past week.

There were claims the Super Lig side have made a move for the 28-year-old and that an offer worth €6m had been submitted.

Over the past six months, Trabzonspor have been showing interest in the central midfielder. Trabzonspor held transfer talks to sign Hamer during the summer window after a last ditch to sign him before the Super Lig window closed.

In October, there was speculation the Black Sea club would return for the Sheffield United player in January.

Fotospor report on the latest developments regarding Hamer.

The midfielder would be interested in a transfer to Trabzonspor this month. The Blades are also ready to sell for the right offer after rejecting the Trabzon club’s initial proposal.

Hamer has previously been linked with a move to Turkey following reports in 2024 that Galatasaray were keen to sign him. The Istanbul giants considered activating his release clause after Sheffield United were relegated.

Sheffield United defender also wanted

Hamer’s club teammate Harrison Burrows has also been linked with the Super Lig club in recent weeks.

The Turkish side made a £3.5m offer for the 23-year-old, but Sheffield United want for £5m. Trabzonspor could return with an improved transfer fee for as their search for a left back continues.

A regular starter at the beginning of the season, Burrows has been in and out of Chris Wilder’s eleven in recent games. Burrows started Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic on the bench, but came on at half time.

Hamer has made 12 appearances this season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to the South Yorkshire club until June 2027.

However, his time at Bramall Lane looks to be coming to an end.

Whether there’s a chance of a double deal with Trabzonspor hasn’t been mentioned in Turkey, yet.
