Manchester City have been working on signing Ayyoub Bouaddi in recent weeks and are now closing in on competing this operation.
Earlier this week, Lille manager Davide Ancelotti confirmed negotiations when responding to Bouaddi potential’s move to Manchester City.
He said: “Of course, there are negotiations. He’s a very, very good player and I hope he stays with us. The season starts next week, and I consider him a player at my disposal.”
Ancelotti also confirmed several clubs have shown interest in the midfielder, who is likely to join Manchester City.

Enzo Maresca’s side and the French club are now in the final stages of completing Ayyoub Bouaddi’s transfer, ‘with a medical examination imminent’.
Sport.fr says ‘it’s a done deal, or almost’ because there are a few steps pending for the Etihad club to complete this operation.
These steps are mainly to do with the Morocco international completing medical tests with Manchester City and the official announcement will then follow.
The medical and announcement are ‘fast approaching’, meaning the youngster should secure a move in the next few days, if there are no late setbacks.
Sport.fr aren’t aware of the transfer fee and says Lille will earn significantly from this deal.
Lille have sold some of their players for top money in recent years and Bouaddi will soon join that list.
