Nicolo Tresoldi was one of the stars of the show in the Champions League this week. Now, Arsenal and Tottenham could soon be competing for the attacker.

In recent months, the 23-year-old has been at the centre of a battle involving Italy and Germany. Both nations are trying to have him as part of their national team setups but have, thus far, failed.

While he has been popular for these off-field reasons, Tresoldi contributed an impressive hat-trick against Inter Milan in the Champions League this week. That helped Club Brugge pick up a thrilling 4-3 win, condemning the Nerazzurri to two losses in a row in the competition.

This has made sure that Tresoldi’s name is on everyone’s lips – including Arsenal and Tottenham.

Clubs could be lining up

TuttoSport have a detailed report about the Sardinia-born attacker, revealing that he was being tracked by several clubs in 2025. Tresoldi decided to not take that chance and joined Club Brugge instead, with the decision now paying off.

This summer, AS Roma attempted to sign him for a package worth €35m too. This wasn’t enough for the Belgian club, who valued the player at €60m at that point.

Their asking price is expected to go further up, with Arsenal ‘among the frontrunners’ for Tresoldi’s signature. Tottenham are also in the chase, having ‘examined’ him several times in the last few months.

The two London rivals won’t be alone in the hunt Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have been keeping an eye on the former Hannover player.

Tresoldi has always wanted to wear AC Milan’s iconic number nine jersey but that seems like a far-fetched possibility. It is, however, near certain he will get a big move soon.

Our take: Player worth the money

Often it is easy to doubt whether a player who is impressing in Belgium can make a mark in England. But in Tresoldi’s case, he has the physical profile to make the cut in the Premier League.

He has the meanness in front of goal that Tottenham currently lack and that has been seen throughout this season.

Arsenal could need an attacking signing in the near future, especially if Viktor Gyokeres departs. The Gunners have a good relationship with Club Brugge because of their move for Christos Tzolis and that can come in handy for Tresoldi.
