Aston Villa‘s Leon Bailey is likely to leave the Premier League side this summer, and his agent is already at work.

Last summer, the Villans let the forward join AS Roma on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

He struggled with multiple injuries, limiting Bailey to 318 minutes from 11 matches for the Serie A side.

Therefore, Aston Villa cut short the loan deal in Italy, and he returned to Villa Park in January. At that time, his agent said Unai Emery’s side needed the 29-year-old.

The Jamaica international didn’t get regular game time under Emery, managing a goal and an assist in 539 minutes from 19 matches.

De Telegraaf report Ajax have been offered another chance to sign the winger. It’s unclear whether his representative or the English club took this step.

A year ago, the Eredivisie side didn’t capitalise on the opportunity to secure Leon Bailey’s services.

The Dutch club have recently sold Mika Godts to Paris Saint-Germain for a reported €55m. They are looking for his replacement and have several options, including the Aston Villa player.

Ajax are considering signing the former Bayer Leverkusen man and he’s one of the names on their table.

The newspaper states the Jamaican is open to leaving the Europa League winners this summer.

Leon Bailey is in his final year of contract at Villa Park. This could force Unai Emery’s side to sell in this window, to avoid losing him for free in 2027. Figures around €9-10m are being mentioned.

The attacker’s agent is already be working on finding a new club, considering both the player and the Villans are in favour of a transfer.
