Wolverhampton Wanderers‘ Ladislav Krejčí wants to leave Molineux, a year after joining them from Girona.

The Czech Republic international was a regular for Wolves in his debut season, playing 2,682 minutes from 33 matches.

Last October, the centre-back admitted the English club are a springboard to joining a top club.

Wolves man attracting La Liga interest

At the start of this month, Sport Witness covered claims from Spain of Real Sociedad’s desire to sign the 27-year-old.

The La Liga side have identified the Wolves man as the main target to strengthen their defence and have held talks with César Peixoto’s side.

Real Sociedad’s Yangel Herrera has been speaking to Marca and also talked about Ladislav Krejčí.

The 28-year-old Venezuela international played with the Czech Republican at Girona during the 2024/25 season. The duo would have maintained close ties since then.

Herrera contacts Wolves player

Yangel Herrera has spoken with Ladislav Krejčí about La Real’s desire to sign him this summer.

“He’s a player who, for a centre back standing 1.90, is very fast. We’ve talked; I sent him the news clipping when there was talk of his possible signing, and he told me he wants to come, but these things are up to the clubs,” he said.

The Venezuelan’s admission is a clear indication the central defender is keen on a move, while Wolves have the final word.

Krejčí initially joined on loan and the English club have already made his stay permanent. He has a contract until 2030, and Transfermarkt value him at €22m.
