FC Porto are keen on signing Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior on loan with an obligation to buy.

On Tuesday, A Bola reported the centre-back was supposed to travel to Portugal yesterday, which was later dismissed by Sebastião Sousa-Pinto, with later this week seen as likely.

Record report the Dragons are in the process of signing the Arsenal man on loan with an obligation to buy. The overall deal will cost Porto around €27m.

It’s claimed Kiwior didn’t travel yesterday because the last details between the parties are yet to be finalised.

Record hasn’t mentioned whether Porto are sorting this out with him, Arsenal or both. This is likely to be sorted out soon as they insist the ‘process is nearing completion’ for Kiwior to become the new Porto player.

Wednesday’s edition of Jornal de Notícias reports the 25-year-old didn’t travel yesterday because the Gunners haven’t sanctioned a move yet.

The newspaper reports Mikel Arteta’s are yet to sort out details with Porto and also need to sign a replacement before letting Kiwior leave. Arsenal are said to be on signing Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié.

That’ll likely to be resolved soon as they say the player is expected to travel to Porto in the coming days.

Over at A Bola, they also report discussions between Porto and Arsenal are about the final details of the €26m [Record say €27m] operation.

The Poland international is ‘awaiting authorisation’ to travel to Portugal to complete his loan move with an obligation to buy.

Although his trip was cancelled, A Bola say the player should travel in the next few hours or at the latest by tomorrow, to undergo his medical with Porto.
