On Wednesday, claims from the UK stated Nottingham Forest are considering making a €24m bid for Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush.
The Telegraph reported: ‘Forest have made a move for the Egypt international and are battling to complete a £20 million package as they intensify their search for a striker.’
This is relayed by Bild, who then give their take on Nottingham Forest’s interest and how they can sign the striker.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are looking to sign a No.9 before the window closes on Friday.
Feyenoord star Santiago Giménez and Ajax’s Brian Brobbey have rejected the Reds. They seem to have set their sights on Marmoush. He ‘dreams of the Premier League’ and his entourage are ‘increasingly pushing’ for a move to England.
It’s possible that Nottingham Forest are ‘serious’ about the Egyptian and could initially make a low offer. The Bundesliga side aren’t going to entertain a €24m bid for Marmoush, who has a deal until 2027.
It’s claimed Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche would seriously consider selling the player, only if there’s a €40m bid on the table.
Despite having a Premier League dream, Bild aren’t certain whether Marmoush would be willing to join a club who fought against relegation in the last two seasons.
Nottingham Forest would have to raise their offer by €16m and convince the attacker to sign him.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg also claims the Reds are ‘pushing’ to sign the Egyptian before Friday’s deadline.
