Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa can be added to Newcastle United’s list of potential replacements for Anthony Gordon.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that the Feyenoord star is one of the names being monitored at Newcastle as they continue to explore the ‘talent market’.
Newcastle target ‘talent market’
According to the Belgian journalist, Newcastle United are looking towards younger talent this summer as they look to reshape Eddie Howe’s squad.
The Magpies are expected to strengthen their attack, particularly after Anthony Gordon’s move to Barcelona, and several shortlists have already been drawn up. Feyenoord’s Anis Hadj Moussa is one of the names currently being monitored.
He, according to the journalist, is on a list alongside AIK’s Zadok Yohanna. Sport Witness covered a report yesterday explaining that Newcastle have already made a €24m bid for the 18-year-old, who has been impressing in Sweden this season.
A report today then explained that AIK are already looking at replacements, hinting a move could be on the cards. Brighton are battling with the Magpies for his signature.
Newcastle need €30m
Unlike the youngster, Anis Hadj Moussa is a little further along in his development. Indeed, at 24-years-old, he could be ready for a big step up after impressing at Feyenoord.
This season in particular has been a highly productive one for him as he spearheaded Feyenoord’s attacking line up. He managed 14 goals and seven assists in 40 games and was the Eredivisie Player of the Month for May 2026 as well.
He’s also been busy shining on the international stage. He scored the 86th minute winner in Algeria’s shock win over the Netherlands this week.
Feyenoord have him tied down to a deal until 2030, so hold the power in any negotiations. Reports have them valuing their star man at €30-35m just to open formal talks. With €80m in their pocket from Gordon, that shouldn’t be a problem for the Magpies.
