There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Hull City attacker Abdülkadir Ömür is on the verge of signing for Antalyaspor.

The 25-year-old has been linked with the Super Lig club in recent weeks, along with Samsunspor, with other Turkish clubs also said to be keen over the past year.

Kuzey Ekspres report on Antalyaspor’s pursuit of the Hull City player and they say it’s only a ‘matter of time’ before he returns to his home country on a permanent basis. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Çaykur Rizespor, and is not expected back in England.

It’s claimed Ömür will not take part in Hull City’s pre-season training, which will start at the weekend, as he nears a transfer to the Antalya club.

Transfer talks are ongoing with Hull City and the player’s short stay in England is coming to an end.

There were reports this week the winger preferred a transfer to Samsunspor because he wanted to remain in the Black Sea region. However, despite Emre Belözoğlu dramatically resigning as their manager this week it seems Antalyaspor are now the most serious contender to sign the player.

He made 21 appearances for Hull City last season, and is contracted to the Tigers until June 2027.
