Manchester United are among the clubs keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.
For the past few days, claims coming out of Italy have talked about Juventus’ desire to sign the 28-year-old in January. Two days ago, Sport Mediaset stated he has no shortage of admirers and named Atlético Madrid as a candidate, along with the Serie A side.
These two clubs are joined by Manchester United in the chase for the Tottenham player, according to today’s Corriere dello Sport.
The newspaper states the Old Lady need to strengthen midfield, more so if Paul Pogba isn’t returning, and this is where Højbjerg would fit in.
It’s said the opportunity to sign Denmark international could be ‘really tempting’ for Juve but the deal is far from simple, also because both Manchester United and Los Rojiblancos ‘like’ him.
Højbjerg has not had a prominent role under Ange Postecoglou this season and could change clubs in the next window.
With a deal until 2025, Corriere state Spurs want a minimum of €30m to part ways with him. They add Juve are aiming for a loan deal while Tottenham want a permanent transfer.
On Thursday, Calciomercato stated the Dane’s agent has been talking to ‘various clubs’ and if the latest claim from Corriere is to be believed, Manchester United and Atlético are included in that list.
