Last month, we relayed news from Italy that West Ham United showed interest in signing Udinese star Lazar Samardžić after his move to Inter Milan collapsed.

The Hammers had reportedly tried signing the midfielder but were unable to acquire his services in the last window.

West Ham could be presented with another opportunity to sign the 21-year-old in January if a report from Calciomercato is to be believed.

Udinese are yet to register a league win this season and have scored only two goals from six games with both of them scored by the Serbia international. He’s put the disappointment over a failed move to the San Siro behind him, and is attracting more interest.

Despite Samardžić’s importance on the pitch, the report states the Serie A side are ‘ready to listen’ to offers for him in January.

It’s claimed there’s ‘no shortage’ of clubs interested in the player, who has a deal lasting until 2026, and the list includes David Moyes’ side.

After a failed attempt in the last window, Calciomercato say West Ham can ‘make another attempt’ to secure his services in the winter market. Along from the Hammers, Juventus, Napoli and an unnamed Bundesliga club are also in the mix.
