Liverpool are ‘closely following’ Ryan Gravenberch’s situation at Bayern Munich as they look to potentially sign him in the summer.
That’s according to Sport 1 journalist Kerry Hau, who say the Reds would be keen on signing the Dutchman alongside Jude Bellingham.
Liverpool are expected to try and completely revamp their midfield in the summer transfer window, with the current options in the middle of the park considered not good enough.
A disappointing campaign has seen focus on the likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago, James Milner and even Fabinho, whose performances have dropped off a cliff this season.
Only youngster Stefan Bajcetic is currently earning positive reviews and the feeling is that Jurgen Klopp will want to change things around with signings in the summer.
Jude Bellingham has been linked with a move for some time but it seems there is another midfielder in the Bundesliga that they have an eye on and that is Gravenberch, who has struggled for gametime at Bayern since joining from Ajax in the summer.
“Liverpool are interested,” Hau told the Die Bayern Woche podcast on Sport 1.
“They want to rejuvenate their midfield in the summer and can well imagine getting two new eights – another player in addition to the desired player Jude Bellingham.
“His name has been mentioned more often by those responsible, (there is no concrete interest yet) but the situation is being examined and they have already contacted Gravenberch’s people to ask about him, what type of person he is.
“You have to be honest: when he got the chance, he couldn’t recommend himself 100% (at Bayern).
“Bayern’s attitude is clear: they don’t want to give him up (but Gravenberch will) certainly give it some thought.”
