Rangers‘ Ryan Naderi is on the verge of representing the Czech Republic, days after scoring the winner in the Ibrox club’s 1-0 win over Celtic.
Rangers reportedly invested around €6m to sign the forward from second division German side, Hansa Rostock, in February. He managed three goals and two assists from 11 matches for Rangers in the second half of last season.
This season, he has impressed for Derek McInnes’ side, managing four goals and three assists from 11 matches.
The 23-year-old’s impressive performances for Rangers have also seen him attract the Czech Republic’s attention.
Rangers player’s senior debut likely in November
Ryan Naderi was born in Germany and can represent them and also the Czech Republic because of his Czech mother. General manager Pavel Nedved has already confirmed the national team are working on securing Naderi.
“He is on our radar; he is a player we would call up to the national team. Unfortunately, we cannot do that at this moment, even though he holds Czech citizenship. There are still a few final administrative steps before he can be called up,” he said.
New Die Mannschaft manager Jürgen Klopp hasn’t included the Rangers man in his squad for the ongoing international break.
Radek Bejbl, the assistant to Czech Republic manager Santi Denia, confirmed his optimism of securing the Rangers man’s services for the nation and iSport have relayed his comments.
“We are still waiting to hear about Ryan. We are optimistic that it may even be possible [to finalise] in the coming days,” he said.
“Well, our thoughts will certainly be with him during the November training camp. He’s performing very well for Rangers and is very interested in representing the Czech Republic.”

As things stand, Rangers’ Ryan Naderi is unlikely to make his debut in this international break.
