After his heroics against Sassuolo for AS Roma, Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen appeared to have turned a page following a difficult start to the campaign.
The Denmark international had become the starter under José Mourinho down the right-hand side of the defence, and there was a belief something had changed for him.
However, all of this came crashing down on Sunday night, as AC Milan beat Roma 3-1, with Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport both labelling the Leeds man as ‘The Worst’ for his side.
The former kick off by giving him a 4.5/10, recalling that the new King of Denmark was called in on Sunday night, and ‘no, it’s not him’, meaning Kristensen.
Beaten by Yacine Adli for Milan’s first, he was overrun for the second and didn’t stop Giroud for their third, meaning the Leeds loanee had a hand, in a bad way, in all of the conceded goals by his side.
This is also pointed out by Corriere dello Sport, who state Yacine Adli ‘jumped him as if he were a dummy’, ‘left Giroud alone’ for the second and ‘had a hand’ in the third goal.
All in all, a ‘hat trick of errors’ for the Leeds man, who, while improving his form of late, certainly didn’t do himself any favours if he had hopes of a permanent stay away from Elland Road in Rome at the end of the season.
