Brighton have been in the hunt for Juventus starlet Adin Licina and their intentions for a transfer are becoming clear.

The Old Lady signed the young attacker from Bayern Munich last year. He was instantly placed into their Next Gen side and was then loaned out to Cremonese in the summer.

This has helped his development, with the player having become a regular in Serie B. He has contributed to two goals, featuring in all but one league game, also scoring once in the Coppa Italia.

Sport Witness have tracked his growing reputation, with the player compared to Dean Huijsen in that he could leave Juventus before being given a real chance.

This comes with the idea of Juve losing the winger soon, with Brighton’s attempts intensifying.

Transfer intentions emerging

Calciomercato report on Licina’s future, making it clear that the loan at Cremonese is part of Juve’s long-term plans for Licina. The Bianconeri are facing a possible dilemma, with Brighton and Leipzig competing for his signature.

The outlet make it clear that the Seagulls have informed Juve that they could make a move as early as January.

As a result, the Old Lady will be faced with a decision in the ‘next few weeks’. A move to England could hand them a significant capital gain but keeping him can lead to this importance and valuation growing further.

At the same time, Cremonese’s stance on the deal can also be key. They would ideally want to keep him until the end of the season and honour the contract on the table.

They believe he will be key in the campaign, as they struggle at 11th position in the table.

Our take: Situation worth monitoring

Licina did well early in the campaign but his impact hasn’t been as impressive in recent weeks. Despite talent, he clearly needs to be more consistent, especially as he’s playing in the second division.

So while Brighton would be an excellent move – as it is for many talents, it might come too early.

It is important for the Seagulls to keep monitoring the situation and how Licina develops. Once the 19-year-old takes further positive steps, he could become an important signing.
