Brazilian side Flamengo on Thursday their financial report from the first trimester of the year, and are glad to announce they’ve been receiving some money from Arsenal.

As reported by Lance, the Brazilian side have just made €1m only due to the fact that defender Pablo Mari completed ten appearances for the Gunners.

Arsenal reportedly spent €8m on the loan of Pablo Mari in January 2020, and signed him permanently for €5m more in the following summer.

Now, according to the document, they’re paying €1m each time the defender makes ten appearances for the club. This was the first payment, and this bonus can be triggered up to eight times.

Pablo Mari currently has 17 games played for Arsenal, so it’s possible that before the end of the season, the Gunners still have one more bonus to pay for.

Even though €1m doesn’t sound a lot for an English club, that really means something for Brazilian sides, since the British pound is worth nearly 7.5 Brazilian reais these days.
