Arsenal are one of the clubs chasing AS Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana, according to L’Equipe.
The France international has featured regularly for the Ligue 1 side this season, making 35 appearances, and has a deal until 2025.
His performances and contract situation make him an attractive option in the market for Arsenal and a few other clubs.
Fofana has been called up for the Euros and L’Equipe say Les Bleus staff want to manage the possible transfers of some of their players ‘with serenity, by adapting.’
The 25-year-old’s name is included in this list since Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético Madrid and AC Milan are all interested in securing his services in the summer window.
It’s claimed the four clubs have ‘already had discussions’ with the midfielder’s entourage, but haven’t started concrete negotiations yet.
L’Equipe explain that the player’s ‘transfer shouldn’t be unblocked’ until the completion of the Euros. They make no mention of his asking price or which club is currently leading the race.
Over at Tutto Juve, they name Milan and Juventus as Fofana’s interested parties, and add that he ‘costs around €20m’.
Arsenal aren’t the only Premier League side in the picture for the Frenchman as earlier claims stated that Manchester United and West Ham United also have their eyes on him.
