Malmo sporting director Daniel Andersson has confirmed to the Swedish media they are in talks with Leeds United to discuss the transfer of Pawel Cibicki.
The 23 year old has been linked with the Championship side in recent days, with claims last weekend the forward has been offered a four year contract.
Speaking to Sydsvenskan, Andersson was asked if Malmo were in talks with Leeds United over Cibicki: “I can confirm there is an interest. But we are not there yet. Because Pawel himself spoke of that (talks), I can say so, but not more. It should be right for all parties. For Pawel and us. There are a couple of days left.”
Earlier today we reported on comments Cibicki made to the Swedish press, when he confirmed talks to sign for Leeds United. The young forward seemed keen for the move to England, and the chance to sign for a big club like Leeds United.
Cibicki seems open to playing in the Championship despite receiving interest from clubs like Napoli, and said it would be a dream to play for Leeds United. With the deadline approaching Leeds United and Malmo will now need to act quickly to get a deal done.
