Despite being rarely used by Carlo Ancelotti this season at Bayern Munich, Kingsley Coman’s future appears to be in Bavaria.
The Italian manager has hinted more than once that the Bundesliga club were interested in making the two-year loan from Juventus a permanent transfer, and with a relatively small fee of €20m or so to be paid, it would be considered a steal.
According to Téléfoot, the Gunners are interested in making the 20-year-old one of their big summer signings, with the French television show reporting on TF1’s website, and have contacted Juventus about a potential transfer.
Without making an official offer, Wenger’s club are said to have enquired about the player’s situation, most likely with this summer in mind.
This isn’t the first time Téléfoot have reported on interest in the Juventus loanee, claiming three weeks ago that both Chelsea and Manchester City had made bids ranging from €50-60m for Coman.
Furthermore, L’Equipe claimed a week or so later that Pep Guardiola wanted to ‘ambush’ his move to Bayern Munich.
Give it a couple more weeks, and it’s almost guaranteed that Manchester United or Liverpool will be thrown into the mix.
That’s how these things work.
