Brentford really appreciate the profile of OGC Nice’s Kasper Dolberg, according to Foot Mercato.

The forward managed seven goals and two assists from 30 matches in all competitions last season, but didn’t manage to find the back of the net in the league since January.

He was also left on the bench towards the end of the campaign. The 24-year-old didn’t manage to have a good season with French club, and the situation has been made complicated due to competition from Amine Gouiri and Andy Delort.

Therefore, the former Ajax man is not sure to stay at Nice beyond the ongoing transfer window. This could benefit Brentford as the Denmark international pleases the Bees.

It’s claimed Thomas Frank’s side are ‘studying the possibility of recruiting’ the attacker this summer.

Foot Mercato’s report provides Brentford’s stance on this case. There is no mention of the fee needed to carry out the deal or anything to indicate if either Dolberg or Nice are ready to do business with the Premier League club.
