Three days ago, TNT Sports reported Everton want to sign Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira on loan with an option to buy.
It was also stated Flamengo are in talks over acquiring the midfielder’s services. This is relayed by Globo Esporte, who add the South American club ‘has competition’ from Everton and Fenerbahçe to land the 25-year-old.
Flamengo are working to sign Chelsea’s Kenedy, and after completing his signing, they will focus their efforts on concluding the Pereira deal. The Brazilian side have ‘formalised a proposal to Manchester United’, to sign the player on loan with an option to buy.
The ‘negotiations are going well’ and Flamengo have the support of Pereira’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, in ‘persuading’ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to accept the offer.
Over at TNT Sports, they again stress about the offer made by Everton. However, the United man has ‘decided to play’ for Flamengo, so that it improves his chances of representing Brazil at the Qatar World Cup.
It’s now down to Flamengo to convince United to accept their offer of a loan with an option to buy.
The English club prefer to cash in from Pereira’s sale for around €25m this summer, but haven’t received any proposal close to the fee demanded so far.
To sum it up, United have received offers from Everton and Flamengo, but Pereria is inclined to join the Brazilian side, as it improves his chances of representing Seleção.
