Simone Zaza’s future at West Ham is unclear, with the Italian international failing to score in 9 appearances for the Premier League club.

The London side must pay Juventus €20m should Zaza make 14 appearances for them, as revealed by his father.

The striker, in a recent interview, claimed he isn’t aware of the interest from other clubs, but that Napoli are a ‘great’ team. His father had previously stated that he was aware of interest.

According to Rai Sport (via Tutto Mercato Web), Zaza has given positive signals for a return to Italy.

However, Napoli are not willing to offer wages of more than €2.5m per year and won’t compromise on image rights of the player. Zaza is believed to be one of the top earners at West Ham, and it remains to be seen if he’d be willing to take a wage cut.

As of now, it all depends on West Ham, if they want to take a risk on the player, or send him back to Italy.
