Sheffield United could see some of their players leave in the summer window, after their relegation from the Premier League.
Fotboll Direkt state Anel Ahmedhodžić will be one of them and his future remains uncertain.
The defender joined Sheffield United from Malmö FF in 2022, when the Blades were in the Championship. He was one of the key players to help the club return to the top flight but has no plans to play to the second division next season.
Therefore, Chris Wilder’s side will find it ‘difficult to keep’ the 25-year-old at Bramall Lane next season.
It’s claimed the Bosnia and Herzegovina international has a release clause of €20m, and will leave Sheffield United via a ‘big deal’ in the next window.
Napoli showed interest in the centre-back in the winter market and it’s not clear whether they are still keen on him. The report also makes no mention of any other club he could join, but does state his future is likely to be away from England.
Ahmedhodžić’s former club Malmö will be entitled to receive part of the fee from his sale, but Fotboll Direkt aren’t aware of what the percentage is.
