Italian side Torino are coming strong for Roberto Pereyra from Watford this month, according to reports this Friday.
Local outlet Tuttosport says the Turin club will be trying to make a ‘€20million operation’ to land the midfielder from the Hornets.
It’s claimed that Torino already tried to sign Pereyra in the summer window, and now plan to make an attempt with ‘more conviction’ in the January market.
Tuttosport takes Pereyra’s possible arrival as a big deal, as it would represent a ‘quality leap’ for Torino. They say it’s the kind of signing which could make the club dream of getting a Champions League spot in Serie A.
Moving to Turin wouldn’t be something new for Pereyra, who belonged to Juventus for two years before making the €13m move to the Hornets in 2016.
With six goals and two assists for the club in the Premier League this season, Pereyra has been an important starter to the team, so it’s fair to say Watford won’t let him go so easily.
