Tottenham Hotspur continue to put pressure to sign Dušan Vlahović, says Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini to Firenze Viola.

Atlético Madrid are interested in the striker and Ceccarini adds Fiorentina chairman Rocco Commisso will have the ‘last word’ on any potential transfer.

Another report from the same website says the 21-year-old’s sale this summer could be on the cards, because, despite the Serie A side wanting to tie down their star to a new contract, the commission demanded by the agent has shipwrecked their efforts.

Therefore, the Serbia international’s sale, to either Spurs or the La Liga winners, is described as ‘more or less imminent’ , but will also ‘depend on how much money the entourage of the former Partizan striker will manage to raise as part of an operation’ that will see La Viola earn more than €70m.

As things stand, Atlético have ‘offered the most money’ compared to Tottenham and their overall deal will reach close to €80m, including bonuses.

For Vlahović to sign an extension, his agent Darko Ristic wanted 5% of the future transfer fee as a commission if the price was below €80m, and more if the figure is above the €80m mark, along with €2.5m signing on bonus.

In case of a sale, though, Firenze Viola add the ball would then end up in the purchasing club’s court (such as Tottenham), as Vlahović’s potential suitors would have to pay €8m in agent fees, seen as a ‘very high sum’, and one that could ‘jeopardise’ the outcome of any transfer negotiation.

Fiorentina are ‘waiting for now, showing a certain impatience’ with the latest development as they will be left with less time to bring in a replacement if Vlahović’s does ends up leaving the club.

Would Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici agree to pay €8m to the agent, though? That is the real question.
