On Saturday, we covered a report from Calciomercato.it explaining Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko has expressed his willingness to join Napoli.

It was also stated Federico Pastorello was working as an intermediary on a move for the player and was set to arrive in Italy yesterday.

Another report from Calciomercato.it states Pastorello has arrived in the country and is trying to find a balance to close the deal.

It’s claimed work is still in progress to sort out ‘some details’, mainly related to how the Blues and the Serie A side will share the midfielder’s wages during his loan stay at the Naples club.

There’s belief the deal can be finalised as the website adds ‘barring any unexpected twists and turns’, Frank Lampard’s man will have a ticket in his hands to travel to Italy.

Chelsea signed Jorginho from Napoli in 2018, and due to this deal, the relationship between the two clubs is ‘positive’.

‘White smoke with Chelsea: Bakayoko arrives. Visits tomorrow’, is the title of TuttoMercatoWeb’s report.

Within the report, it’s stated. ‘Deal done, Napoli closes for Tiemoue Bakayoko’.

They further add the former AS Monaco man will join the Italian side on a dry loan deal and is expected to undergo his medical on Sunday.

Bakayoko played under Gattuso at AC Milan and a move to Napoli will see the Frenchman reunite with his former manager.
