The competition to take Gianluca Scamacca out of West Ham United has been becoming quite interesting lately.

Despite the initial interest from AS Roma, Inter Milan recently entered the race and even seemed like the favourites for the signing.

Now, according to a fresh report from Gianluca Di Marzio, Scamacca may actually leave West Ham to join Atalanta.

It’s said the Bergamo side have made a bigger offer than Inter Milan for the signing.

It’s not detailed how much Atalanta put on the table, and just made clear that the Nerazzurri are bidding €24m plus €4m in bonuses, and won’t go beyond that.

According to Di Marzio, West Ham want to seal the deal ‘today’, so these are ‘very important hours’ for the transfer.

Atalanta not only have an advantage by offering the Hammers more money, as the personal offer to Scamacca is said to be better than Inter Milan’s as well.

The Serie A side are about to confirm the sale of Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United, and apparently want a quick reinvestment by signing the West Ham striker.
