The Portuguese media is now sharing some news on West Ham’s chase for Ruben Amorim.
Following the reports saying the Sporting coach has flown to London to speak to the Hammers, ZeroZero shows up with an interesting story on the operation.
The outlet writes that West Ham showed up ‘surprisingly and decisive’ about signing Amorim, according to sources close to the coach.
It’s said the Hammers had a positive answer from the coach, and there are a few reasons for that: the ‘magnificent’ conditions, financial establishment, modern stadium, moderate pressure and a city with a great quality of life.
ZeroZero also points out how ‘uncomfortable’ it would be for Amorim to take charge of Liverpool, as there’d be an ‘unfair comparison’ with Jurgen Klopp.
The outlet makes it clear there’s no done deal for now, as West Ham are just interviewing Amorim. Still, it’s also said that the coach is ‘very interested’ in the job, and the London side obviously want him as well.
According to ZeroZero, it’s highly unlikely that any decision is taken before Sporting formally win the Portuguese league.
