Bought for £20m from Swansea, André Ayew’s time at London Stadium has been a bit of a rollercoaster, never living up to his price tag.

The former Marseille forward has only started nine league games so far this season, and the Welsh side are now trying to bring him back to Liberty Stadium.

This isn’t breaking news, as most English outlets have caught wind of this, but RMC Sport in France offer a bit more information on the matter.

Despite the fact the Ghana international isn’t keen on returning to Swansea permanently due to their current league status, West Ham are also playing hardball.

The Welsh side would have been open to a loan until the end of the season, but that’s an option the Hammers aren’t said to be ready to consider, with an Ayew departure only possible if a cheque of around £20m lands on their desk.

However, West Ham’s hope of getting money for the 28-year-old might not be completely lost, as a handful of German sides are also said to be monitoring his situation.

One to follow over the coming days.
