Three days ago, Marca reported that West Ham United’s Javier Hernández has emerged as a transfer target for Sevilla.

Michail Antonio suffered an injury and there were concerns over whether the Hammers would allow the Mexico international to leave the club.

On August 31st, we relayed news from Spain that the striker would still leave Manuel Pellegrini’s side before the European window closes on Monday.

AS now looks at the La Liga clubs’ transfer business left on deadline day and while discussing Sevilla, they mention the former Manchester United man.

It’s claimed the 31-year-old and Girona goalkeeper Bono are expected to pass medical examinations at Sevilla today.

Mundo Deportivo also talks about the club chasing Hernández and adds the Spanish side will approximately pay €9m to West Ham for the player.

Meanwhile, Mexican outlet MedioTiempo states the West Ham player has received ‘special permission’ from national team manager Gerardo Martino to complete his transfer.

Hernández arrived in Spain on Sunday and after signing a contract at Sevilla, he will join the Mexico camp in New York on Tuesday.
