West Ham United continue to make sure they’re aware of all the talents in the Portuguese league.
After having scouts at many games over the past few weeks, it was now time for West Ham to keep an eye on Braga’s away tie against Boavista this Sunday, according to A Bola.
The game was so level that O Jogo picked a right-back as the man of the match. Boavista’s Edu Machado, who created many plays and won a penalty, had his performance highlighted by the paper. Goalkeeper Vagner got a ‘7’ rating as well.
It’s hard to know if West Ham were especially interested in one player, or looking more generally for potential Slaven Bilic recruits. The club haven’t been linked to transfers from either of these clubs recently, and the match didn’t really have someone whose performance stood out above the rest.
Scouts from Manchester United, Monaco, Atalanta, Tenerife, Betis, Porto, Paços Ferreira and Feirense all attended to the game as well. West Ham are being persistent in their scouting of Portuguese football and therefore it would be no surprise if at least one Portugal transfer attempt is made in the summer.
