Nottingham Forest and West Ham United are both interested in the signing of Hugo Ekitike from Paris Saint Germain, according to reports from France.

RMC Sport today claims that the Ligue 1 club ‘would like to sell him’ this summer, as they already look for a replacement.

Speaking of interested sides, it’s said Ekitike ‘catches the eye’ of several European clubs, with West Ham and Nottingham Forest among them.

The Hammers and the Tricky Trees, along with Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen, have all ‘expressed the interest’ in the 21-year-old.

PSG are first willing to sign a new centre-forward and work to get Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt. And in those negotiations, they try to include Ekitike to lower the price.

That’s something that may concern West Ham and Nottingham Forest, as they may arrive too late to get their target.

Ekitike was signed by PSG on a €28.5m deal from Stade Reims. He’s now valued by Transfermarkt at €20m, and given the club’s wish to let him go know, it’s indeed likely they’ll end up losing money with this new transaction.
